Opened and sold, a box brings back less than it costs
At $211 a box. Sold after fees, postage and bulk rates, the cards bring about $81.87, and 10% of boxes get the price back. At full TCGplayer market price they total $164.99, but selling takes $83.11 of that: most of a pack sells for a few cents.
Across the pull rates' margins, the cards are worth at market $141 to $189. Pull-rate data: Provisional. Out on Nov 6, Delta Reign hasn't been counted yet, so it uses Pitch Black's measured rates until TCGplayer publishes its count. TCGplayer found the rates the same across every Mega Evolution set so far.

Every card at market price. An average, not a promise: your box is one draw.
Every night, after the prices are refreshed, we open 40,000 boxes pack by pack, from the same pack contents and card prices as the value above, and record what each box is worth at market price and after selling. On Nov 8 they averaged $165.15 against a value of $164.99 ($81.99 against $81.87 if sold); a night more than 2% out isn't shown. The share that beat the box is counted against that day's $211.35; at other prices it's read off the spread of boxes, to about a point. The run's random numbers come from the seed 2026-11-08:pokemon:delta-reign, so it can be repeated exactly.

Pull rates. The Pokémon Company publishes none. Ours come from the TCGplayer Authentication Center, which opened 4,000+ packs of Delta Reign (their article ). Every card in a rarity counts as equally likely, as they found. The ± is their 95% margin; the range in the verdict is the box value across it.
The pack. 4 commons, 3 uncommons, two reverse holo slots (the second can be an Illustration Rare or better) and a rare slot (a Double or Ultra Rare at their rates). Mega Hyper Rares count as their own small chance per pack. Packs are independent: English boxes carry no guaranteed hits.
Prices. TCGplayer market price for every card, refreshed daily; reverse holos at their reverse holo price. Card scans and artists from TCGdex.
What you get. Each card at the better of two ways to sell it: on TCGplayer after its 10.75% commission, the 2.5% + $0.30 payment fee and postage ($1.10 a card, $4.50 tracked from $50), or to a store as bulk. Below about $1.65 a card earns more as bulk, and most of a Pokémon pack is below it. Bulk rates are Mighty Meeple's buylist : $0.01 a regular card, $0.03 a reverse holo or holo, $0.05 anything above holo. We lead with this figure because counting a $0.12 common at $0.12 makes a box look better than it is.
