Reality Fracture delays: which products are late in your region, and which are on time

Some Reality Fracture products will reach stores late. On 11 September, Wizards of the Coast told players and retailers that "delays in production and shipping" will hold back certain products in certain regions, some until after Prerelease events on 25 September and others until after the set's release on 2 October.

The release date itself has not moved, and the products needed to play the set at launch are safe: "Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are currently on schedule for Prerelease events and the set's release in all regions."

Wizards describes the situation as changeable, "These delays are fluid", and says its logistics teams are trying to shorten the timelines. Its advice is to check with your local store or retailer. WPN's version of the notice adds that the Secret Lair Bundle may arrive after its own 23 October release date.

The earlier Play Booster warning still stands

This is the second supply notice for the set. On 28 August, Wizards warned that North American players "may experience some tightness" in Play Booster supply in the weeks after release, blaming a drought-driven traffic jam at the Panama Canal that caught a ship carrying part of the North American allocation. Its expectation then was that most stores would get through Prerelease and release weekend without trouble, that stock could then "dry up quickly", and that a replenishment would follow "within a few weeks" of release.

At that point Wizards expected only Play Boosters to be affected. The 11 September notice widens that to Collector Boosters and several other products.

What it means

If you are in Europe or Asia-Pacific and have a Collector Booster preorder, expect it to be late and ask your retailer now rather than on release day. If you do not have a preorder, we would not chase one at an inflated price. Wizards is describing a delay, not a cut to the print run, so the stock is still coming.

That matters for singles too. When Collector Boosters arrive late, fewer of a set's premium versions are opened in the first weeks, and our expectation is that early prices for those treatments run high and ease once delayed stock lands. That is an inference from how supply usually works, not something Wizards has said. If you want a specific foil or borderless card and are not in a hurry, waiting is likely the cheaper option.

In North America the practical risk is different: drafting and buying loose Play Boosters in mid-October, after launch stock sells through and before the replenishment arrives. If your playgroup has a draft night planned for that window, buying the box at release is the safer choice.

What happens next

Prerelease events start on 25 September and the set releases on 2 October. Wizards has said the delays may change, so the regional list above is accurate as of its 11 September notice.
