MTG Arena is retiring Alchemy: 200+ rebalanced cards revert on 22 September and Historic gets five bans
Alchemy leaves MTG Arena on 2 February 2027. Before then, every rebalanced tabletop card goes back to its printed text, and Historic loses The One Ring and four more.
- The Alchemy format will be removed from MTG Arena on 2 February 2027, alongside the next Standard rotation.
- On 22 September 2026, more than 200 rebalanced versions of tabletop cards revert to their original printed text in every format.
- Historic bans on the same day: Galvanic Discharge, Guide of Souls, Nadu, Winged Wisdom, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord and The One Ring.
