What's in the Goblin Storm box
Wizards' decklist announcement (6 May 2026) lists the contents:
- 1 ready-to-play, 100-card Commander deck, made up of:
- 12 foil borderless cards with new art: Zada, Hedron Grinder; Krenko, Mob Boss; Pashalik Mons; Brightstone Ritual; Broadside Bombardiers; Conspicuous Snoop; Empty the Warrens; Grapeshot; Skirk Prospector; Roaming Throne; Skullclamp; Sol Ring
- 22 foil borderless Mountains with new art, in three panoramic arts (7, 8 and 7 copies)
- 3 non-foil reprints with new art: Goblin Chieftain, Goblin Lackey and Vandalblast
- 63 non-foil reprints with the Planeswalker stamp, "the same stamp used in products like Mystery Booster 2 and previous Secret Lair Commander decks"
- 4 foil Goblin tokens with new art
- 10 non-foil double-sided tokens and helpers (Eldrazi Spawn, Eldrazi, Rat, Soldier, Dwarf, Kobolds of Kher Keep, Fish, Treasure, Wicked Role / Cursed Role, and a Start Your Engines! // Max Speed helper)
- 1 storm counter helper
- 1 Zada, Hedron Grinder display commander, which is not legal in sanctioned play
- 1 deck box
So 34 of the 100 cards are foil and 66 are not. Scryfall and Card Kingdom also list a foil borderless Moggcatcher (Secret Lair 7081) and a foil Red Mana counter (7082), both with Wizard of Barge art, with the deck, and MTGRocks reported Moggcatcher as its bonus card on 21 May 2026. Wizards' announcement doesn't mention either, so treat them as a bonus, not a listed item.

Goblin Storm decklist (all 100 cards)
The list is Wizards'. The finish and printing of each card come from Scryfall's Secret Lair Drop entries dated 18 May 2026, and the prices are TCGplayer market prices on 3 November 2026: first for the exact Goblin Storm printing, then for the cheapest printing of the same card in any set, which is what you'd pay to build the deck yourself. The set code in brackets for the 63 stamped reprints is the one Wizards gives; Scryfall files them under The List. Scryfall has no separate 2026 entry for Shinka, Goblin Bushwhacker or Goblin Burrows, so their price is that of the earlier The List printing. Each group is sorted by price, highest first.
By type, the deck runs 26 creatures, 10 instants, 17 sorceries, 6 artifacts, 5 enchantments and 36 lands, the same counts Star City Games gives.

How the Goblin Storm commander deck plays (Zada, Hedron Grinder)
Zada, Hedron Grinder costs {3}{R} for a 3/3 Goblin Ally. Its Oracle text: "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that targets only Zada, copy that spell for each other creature you control that the spell could target. Each copy targets a different one of those creatures."
The plan in practice:
- Go wide first. Krenko's Command, Dragon Fodder, Siege-Gang Commander, Mogg War Marshal and Krenko, Mob Boss fill the board with Goblins. Skullclamp turns the extras into cards.
- Then target Zada with cheap spells. Every creature gets a copy. Expedite and Crimson Wisps draw a card per creature; Wild Ride, Fists of Flame and Ancestors' Aid pump the whole team. Wizards' own example is Daring Discovery: copied once per creature, and each copy discovers 4.
- Count your storm. Every spell you cast adds to the storm count, including the rituals that pay for the turn (Brightstone Ritual, Seething Song, Battle Hymn, Mana Geyser); Zada's copies don't, because they aren't cast. Empty the Warrens, Grapeshot, Haze of Rage and Spreading Insurrection are the four storm cards Wizards names, and Past in Flames lets you cast the instants and sorceries in your graveyard again.
- Double the engine. Roaming Throne naming Goblin makes Zada's trigger happen twice, and Frontline Heroism copies any spell that targets only a single creature you control, onto a new 1/1 Soldier token.
Empty the WarrensFoil: $4.71 on 3 Nov 2026
GrapeshotFoil: $6.77 on 3 Nov 2026
Haze of RageStamped: $1.78 on 3 Nov 2026
Spreading InsurrectionStamped: $0.33 on 3 Nov 2026
The deck has one infinite combo as printed: Storm-Kiln Artist plus Haze of Rage, once you have cast at least three spells that turn (Commander Spellbook). Cast Haze of Rage with buyback for {3}{R}; its storm copies trigger Storm-Kiln Artist's magecraft, which makes a Treasure for the spell and for each copy. Four Treasures pay for the next Haze, and every cast adds to the storm count, so you end up with unlimited mana and creatures as big as you like.
The weak spot is Zada. The only card that protects her is Swiftfoot Boots, so removal in response to a big turn ends it. Krenko and Pashalik Mons, both in the 99 as foils, make reasonable stand-in commanders.
What bracket is the Goblin Storm precon?
Wizards hasn't given one. None of the deck's 78 different cards is on the Game Changers list (Scryfall, 3 November 2026), and Playgroup.gg lists it as Bracket 2, but the two-card infinite above is the kind of thing playgroups weigh. Our Game Changers and Commander brackets guide has the official rules.
Goblin Storm upgrades
This is a price site, not a deckbuilding one, so only one point. The obvious gap is protection for Zada. Playgroup.gg and EDHREC track the cards other players actually add and cut.
Goblin Storm Secret Lair price: what it's worth now (3 November 2026)
The sealed deck: $149.99 then, $492.76 now
The sealed Goblin Storm Secret Lair's TCGplayer market price is $492.76 on 3 November 2026, with the lowest listing at $453.99. That is 3.3 times the $149.99 Wizards charged. Our MTG Secret Lair guide logged $494.84 two days earlier, so the price is steady.
It was wilder at launch. On sale day, MTGRocks counted TCGplayer listings from $698 and more than 180 eBay listings, mostly above $500; Kotaku reported eBay copies selling for $400 to $600 the next day, and one at $999.
The most valuable Goblin Storm singles
The Goblin Storm printing of each card, at TCGplayer market price on 3 November 2026:
| Card | Finish | Goblin Storm printing | Cheapest other printing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roaming Throne | Foil, new art | $88.86 | $47.44 |
| Sol Ring | Foil, new art | $47.62 | $1.27 |
| Krenko, Mob Boss | Foil, new art | $46.89 | $2.28 |
| Skullclamp | Foil, new art | $46.62 | $5.15 |
| Throne of Eldraine | Stamped reprint | $29.40 | $28.98 |
| Broadside Bombardiers | Foil, new art | $22.40 | $3.56 |
| Skirk Prospector | Foil, new art | $17.11 | $0.29 |
| Shinka, the Bloodsoaked Keep | Stamped reprint | $15.73 | $15.73 |
| Ruby Medallion | Stamped reprint | $15.20 | $14.29 |
| Brightstone Ritual | Foil, new art | $12.94 | $3.08 |
| Pashalik Mons | Foil, new art | $12.26 | $2.32 |
| Conspicuous Snoop | Foil, new art | $12.22 | $3.13 |
The pattern is clear: the Wizard of Barge foils carry a large premium over other printings (a foil Sol Ring for $47.62 against $1.27), while the stamped reprints cost about what any other copy does. Zada herself is only $8.79 in foil. Outside the 100, the storm counter card trades at $10.70, a foil Goblin token at $4.21 and the display Zada at $2.67; the bonus Moggcatcher is $11.44. For the cards that cost real money, see our most valuable Magic cards of 2026.
Opening it: what the parts add up to
| Part of the box | Cards | TCGplayer, 3 Nov 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Foil cards with new art | 12 | $327.19 |
| Foil Mountains (7 / 8 / 7) | 22 | $87.58 |
| Non-foil cards with new art | 3 | $19.61 |
| Stamped reprints | 63 | $168.39 |
| The 100-card deck | 100 | $602.77 |
| Goblin tokens, storm counter, display Zada | 6 | $30.21 |
| Everything listed by Wizards | $632.98 | |
| Sealed deck | $492.76 |
On paper the contents are worth about 1.28 times the sealed price. In practice that gap closes fast.
Read these prices with care
TCGplayer's market price comes from recent sales, before the seller pays fees and shipping, so a seller nets noticeably less. Many of the 63 stamped reprints sell rarely, so one sale can move their price, and selling 100 singles one at a time takes time and postage. The totals leave out the bonus cards, the double-sided tokens and the deck box.
Buy Goblin Storm sealed or build it from singles?
Three ways to own the deck, priced on 3 November 2026:
| Route | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Sealed deck (TCGplayer market) | $492.76 | Everything: 34 foils, display Zada, foil Goblin tokens, storm counter, double-sided tokens, deck box |
| The 12 foils + 22 foil Mountains as singles | $414.77 | Just the Wizard of Barge art |
| The same 100 cards, cheapest printing of each | About $230 + 22 basic Mountains | A playable copy of the deck, without the Secret Lair art |
- To play it: build it. $229.79 buys the 78 non-basic cards in their cheapest printings, less than half the sealed price. Roaming Throne ($47.44), Throne of Eldraine ($28.98), Shinka ($15.73) and Ruby Medallion ($14.29) are nearly half of that, and you can leave out what your playgroup doesn't need. Proxies aren't legal in sanctioned play.
- For the art: sealed is the better deal. The 34 foils alone cost $414.77; sealed adds about $78 and gets you the other 66 cards, the tokens, the display Zada and the box. If you only want one or two arts, the singles are cheap: a foil Zada is $8.79.
- As an investment: be careful. It already trades at 3.3 times. Older Secret Lair Commander decks, sold before the order windows, trade higher (Angels: They're Just Like Us but Cooler and with Wings at $794.04 on 1 November 2026, per our Secret Lair guide), but Wizards has since moved Commander decks to order windows, so there's no reason to assume this one follows them.
The artist was blunt about the resale market. Kotaku reported on 19 May 2026 that Wizard of Barge (Dakota Cates) couldn't buy a deck himself, and quoted an Instagram story, no longer up but shared by a fan as a screenshot, in which he said he would rather fans "bootleg the entire deck than pay these scalper prices".
Why Goblin Storm sold out, and what changed after
Goblin Storm was a limited print run. Wizards moved most of Secret Lair from print-to-demand to limited runs on 2 January 2024, to speed up shipping. Add a $149.99 deck with a popular artist, a one-per-customer limit and a virtual queue, and it sold out in 34 minutes on 18 May 2026 (MTGRocks; Kotaku). Most people who wanted one missed it, and they turned to resellers.
Wizards changed course with the next one. The Hatsune Miku deck (10 August 2026) and Odds and Ends (28 September 2026) were sold through 24-hour order windows in which every order placed is filled. In a 1 September 2026 feature, Secret Lair director Matthew Hodgins wrote that feedback "on Goblin Storm and the Secret Lair Dandân deck came through loud and clear". The resale prices show what that did:
| 2026 Secret Lair deck | How it was sold | Price | TCGplayer, 1 Nov 2026 | Multiple |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Goblin Storm | Limited run, sold out in 34 minutes | $149.99 | $494.84 | 3.3× |
| Dandân | Limited run, Chaos Vault | $99.99 | $222.13 | 2.2× |
| Hatsune Miku | 24-hour order window | $149.99 | $263.57 | 1.8× |
| Odds and Ends | 24-hour order window | $149.99 | $167.24 | 1.1× |
Figures from our Secret Lair guide, which explains drops, the queue and shipping in full. As of 3 November 2026 Wizards had not announced a restock or reprint of Goblin Storm. In May the artist said on Reddit, as Kotaku reported, that he was talking to Wizards about more decks but was "not counting on it".
Wizards publishes the Goblin Storm decklist: $149.99, one per customer, on sale 18 May.
