The most valuable Dragonite Pokémon card ever sold is a PSA 10 Legendary Collection reverse holo Dark Dragonite (5/110, from 2002). It sold for $384,000 at Fanatics Collect on 19 October 2026. Two more PSA 10 copies sold for $192,000 each a few days later, on 23 and 26 October.
The same card tops the ungraded list. On 1 November 2026 the Legendary Collection reverse holo Dark Dragonite had a TCGplayer market price of about $1,300. Next are the EX Team Rocket Returns Dark Dragonite reverse holo (15/109), at about $1,150, and the Expedition Dragonite holo (9/165), at about $800.
Most Dragonite Pokémon cards are worth far less. Of the 69 English Dragonite cards with a TCGplayer market price, 38 sell for under $50. This guide lists every one, ranked by price and updated weekly, and shows how to tell which one you have.

A few rows need context:
- Dragonite (4) and Dragonite (19) are the two Fossil Dragonites: the holo (4/62) and the non-holo (19/62). Dragonite (9) and Dragonite (43) are the two Expedition Dragonites, the holo (9/165) and the rare (43/165).
- Dark Dragonite (5) and Dark Dragonite (22) are the Team Rocket holo and non-holo. The plain Dark Dragonite rows are the Legendary Collection card (005/110) and the EX Team Rocket Returns card (15/109).
- Delta Species rows are two different EX-era cards: Dragonite δ from EX Delta Species (3/113) and Dragonite ex δ from EX Dragon Frontiers (91/101). The Roaring Skies Dragonite (52 Delta) is a different kind of card, with an Ancient Trait called Δ Plus.
- Dragonite (National Championships) is the Legends Awakened card (2/146) stamped for the 2008–09 National Championships, about $309. A separate Staff-stamped version exists, but it has no TCGplayer market price.
- Cosmos Holo, Cracked Ice Holo, Costco, GameStop and EB Games rows are reprints sold outside booster packs, in blisters, decks and store bundles. They can differ a lot: the EB Games version of the Silver Tempest card (131/195) sells for about $88, the GameStop one for about $16 and the booster-pack card for about $2.
- Dragonite FB is the Frontier Brain card from Supreme Victors (56/147). The reverse holo sells for about $125, the normal card for about $33.
- Prize Pack Series Cards are reprints with a Play! Pokémon stamp. World Championship Decks cards are reprints from the yearly Worlds decks, with a player's signature and a different card back, and can't be played in tournaments.
- Rarely traded cards can move a lot between updates, because a single sale can set the market price.
The Most Expensive Dragonite Cards Ever Sold
The most expensive Dragonite card ever sold is a PSA 10 Legendary Collection reverse holo Dark Dragonite, which sold for $384,000 at Fanatics Collect on 19 October 2026. Every record sale is a graded card. If you've seen about $55,000 or $60,000 quoted as the Dragonite record, those figures are out of date: a PSA 10 copy of this card sold for $117,000 in September 2026, before the $384,000 sale in October.

| Card | Grade | Price | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Dragonite reverse holo, Legendary Collection 5/110 (2002) | PSA 10 | $384,000 | 19 October 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Dark Dragonite reverse holo, Legendary Collection 5/110 | PSA 10 | $192,000 | 23 October 2026, Fanatics Collect Premier Auction |
| Dark Dragonite reverse holo, Legendary Collection 5/110 | PSA 10 | $192,000 | 26 October 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Dark Dragonite holo, Legendary Collection 5/110 | PSA 10 | $132,000 | 19 October 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Dragonite holo, Expedition 9/165 (2002) | PSA 10 | $55,200 | 6 April 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare, Ascended Heroes 290/217 (2026) | BGS Black Label 10 | $51,240 (reported) | May 2026 |
| Dragonite holo, Fossil 1st Edition 4/62 (1999) | PSA 10 | $45,600 | 14 September 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Dragonite reverse holo, Expedition 43/165 | PSA 10 | $17,500 | 20 September 2026, Fanatics Collect |
| Dragonite reverse holo, Expedition 9/165 | PSA 10 | $10,200 | 14 September 2026, Fanatics Collect |
The $384,000 sale took 20 bids, according to ComicBook.com, which counted 47 PSA 10 copies of the card. It came in the same Fanatics Collect auction as a PSA 10 reverse holo Charizard ($576,000) and a PSA 10 reverse holo Mewtwo (also $384,000), $1,344,000 for the three cards. The record didn't hold as a price level: the next two PSA 10 copies to sell, four and seven days later, went for $192,000 each, exactly half.
The holo print of the same card, without the reverse foil, is rarer in top grade: the Fanatics Collect listing showed 13 PSA 10s. One sold for $132,000 on the same day as the record, up from $84,000 in August 2026 and $4,080 in December 2024.
The Expedition Dragonite holo sold for $55,200 at Fanatics Collect in April 2026. In June ComicBook.com reported a $55,224 sale at Goldin's Spring Pop Culture Auction; it may be a second copy.
The Mega Dragonite ex sale is the only modern card on the list. Sports Illustrated reported in May 2026 that a BGS Black Label 10, Beckett's top grade, sold for $51,240, the Ascended Heroes record for five days, until a Mega Gengar ex sold for more. The report doesn't say where it sold, so treat it as reported.
Left out: Fanatics Collect's sales history also lists a PSA 10 Expedition holo Dragonite at $288,000 in its Premier Auction on 23 October 2026. Collectors on the Elite Fourum forum have questioned whether that slab is genuine, after a Reddit user said they own a slab with the same certification number. As of 1 November 2026 we found no statement from PSA or Fanatics Collect, so we've left the sale out of the table.
The Legendary Collection Dark Dragonite, From $147 to $384,000
The record card is a reprint. Dark Dragonite first appeared in Team Rocket (April 2000), illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, as one of the set's Dark Pokémon. Legendary Collection (May 2002) reprinted it as card 5/110, as a holo and as a reverse holo, with a "fireworks" foil pattern over the whole card except the art. Clean copies of the reverse holo are hard to find.
Unlike the Legendary Collection reverse holo Eevee, this one does sell ungraded on TCGplayer: its market price was about $1,300 on 1 November 2026, the top row of the table above. The holo print was about $240.
Fanatics Collect's sales history, which includes sales from PWCC, the auction house it took over, shows how the PSA 10 price has climbed:
| When | PSA 10 price | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 21 December 2017 | $207.50 | PWCC |
| 28 February 2019 | $147.50 | PWCC |
| 28 October 2020 | $1,510 | Fanatics Collect record |
| 18 July 2022 | $2,130 | Fanatics Collect record |
| 26 January 2025 | $8,500 | Fanatics Collect, Buy Now |
| February 2026 | $26,000 | eBay, per PSA's records (ComicBook.com) |
| 8 June 2026 | $60,000 | Fanatics Collect |
| 8 September 2026 | $117,000 | eBay Best Offer, per PSA's records (ComicBook.com) |
| 19 October 2026 | $384,000 | Fanatics Collect, 20 bids |
| 23 and 26 October 2026 | $192,000 each | Fanatics Collect |
From $147.50 in 2019 to $384,000 is a rise of about 2,600 times. ComicBook.com says the $384,000 copy is the same certified card that sold for $26,000 on eBay in February 2026, almost fifteen times less, eight months earlier.
Dragonite is part of a wider run on Legendary Collection reverse holos in 2026. A PSA 10 Gengar sold for $408,000 in June (see our Gengar card guide), a PSA 10 Eevee for $615,000 at Alt on 15 October (Eevee card guide), and the Charizard and Mewtwo from the same set sold alongside the Dragonite on 19 October (Charizard, Mewtwo). If you're asking which Pokémon card is worth $300,000 or more, these reverse holos are most of the answer; our most expensive Pokémon cards list has the rest.

- Roaring Skies (2015): two Dragonites, 51/108 and 52/108, about $15 and $30 as reverse holos. A Cosmos holo print of 52/108, sold outside booster packs, is about $159.
- Evolutions (2016): Dragonite EX, about $57 for the full art (106/108) and $12 for the regular card.
- Dragon Majesty (2018): Dragonite GX, about $72 for the full art (67/70) and $27 for the regular card.
- Sun & Moon Promos: Dragonite GX SM156, about $91.
- Unified Minds (August 2019): Dragonite GX. The rainbow secret rare (248/236) is about $155, the full art (229/236) about $64 and the regular card (152/236) about $17.
Sword & Shield (2020–2023)
- Evolving Skies (August 2021): Dragonite V. The alternate art (192/203) by Atsushi Furusawa is about $479, the most valuable Dragonite printed after 2006. The regular full art (191/203) is about $38.
- Pokémon GO (July 2022): Dragonite V and Dragonite VSTAR. The gold VSTAR secret rare (081/078) is about $41, the full art V (076/078) about $16, and the regular V and VSTAR about $5 and $4.
- Silver Tempest (November 2022): 131/195, about $2 as a reverse holo and the cheapest Dragonite in the table. Its store-exclusive versions sell for more (see above).
- Promos: Dragonite V (SWSH154 and SWSH235) and Dragonite VSTAR (SWSH236), about $5 to $6 each.
There is no Dragonite VMAX in English, whatever some price lists suggest: in Sword & Shield, Dragonite got the Dragonite V and Dragonite VSTAR above, but no VMAX.
Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution (2023–2026)
- 151 (2023): 149/165, about $2 as a reverse holo.

The gold Mega Hyper Rare (295/217) is about $155, the Mega Attack Rare (271/217), also by DOM, about $24, and the regular Double Rare (152/217) about $4. Its Prize Pack reprint is about $23.
Which Dragonite Card Do You Have?
Start with the bottom of the card. The card number and set symbol tell you the set.
The original 1999 Fossil Dragonite, and why it says 1995
The first English Dragonite came out in Fossil in October 1999. It has two versions, and both come in 1st Edition and Unlimited:
| Card | Number | How to tell | Ungraded, 1 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fossil holo, 1st Edition | 4/62 | Holo art, a 1st Edition stamp at the left, just under the art | About $583 |
| Fossil holo, Unlimited | 4/62 | Holo art, no stamp | About $184 |
| Fossil non-holo, 1st Edition | 19/62 | Plain art, 1st Edition stamp | About $106 |
| Fossil non-holo, Unlimited | 19/62 | Plain art, no stamp | About $41 |
Some price summaries put the Fossil Dragonite at under $300 ungraded. That fits the Unlimited holo, not the 1st Edition one. Fossil has no Shadowless print; that's a Base Set variant.
The bottom line of the Fossil card reads "©1995, 96, 98 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK. ©1999 Wizards." That's why people search for a "1995 Dragonite": no Dragonite card was printed in 1995, and the date is part of the copyright line.
Dark, Light and Delta Species Dragonite
- Dark Dragonite is one of the Dark Pokémon from the Team Rocket set. Some sites date it 1997 or 1999, but the English set came out in April 2000; the Japanese original came out earlier. The art is the same on the Team Rocket card (5/82) and the Legendary Collection reprint (5/110), so check the number, then the foil: the Legendary Collection reverse holo has foil everywhere except the art, the holo only in the art. The EX Team Rocket Returns Dark Dragonite (15/109) has different art.
- Light Dragonite is the Neo Destiny card (14/105), with "Light" before the name. It sells for more than the Team Rocket Dark Dragonite.
- Delta Species Dragonites have a small δ after the name. Check for "ex" in the name: Dragonite ex δ (91/101) and Dragonite δ (3/113) are both worth about $420 to $470.
Modern Dragonite cards
Check two things:
- The number. If it's higher than the set total, as in 290/217 or 248/236, it's a secret rare. The valuable modern cards are almost always these. The Dragonite V alternate art (192/203) is the exception: its number is inside the set total.
- The rarity symbol. In Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution sets, two gold stars mark a Special Illustration Rare and one gold star an Illustration Rare. Black or silver stars mark the Double Rares and Ultra Rares, which are worth less.
The "gold Dragonite" people search for is one of two cards: the Dragonite VSTAR from Pokémon GO (081/078, about $41) or the Mega Dragonite ex Mega Hyper Rare (295/217, about $155). There is no English Gold Star Dragonite. Some online price lists also mix Japanese cards into their Dragonite rankings; the table on this page is English only.
How Much Is a Dragonite Pokémon Card Worth?
Most Dragonite Pokémon cards are worth under $50, unless yours is one of the cards above. Of the 69 English Dragonite cards with a TCGplayer market price on 1 November 2026:
- 17 sell for under $10
- 25 sell for under $20
- 38 sell for under $50
- 22 sell for $100 or more
- 6 sell for $500 or more
- 2 sell for $1,000 or more
The regular Dragonite ex, V and VSTAR cards from recent sets sell for about $3 to $5. The money is in the 1999–2002 holos, the EX-era Dragonite ex and Delta Species cards, the reverse holos from 2002 to 2010 and a few modern secret rares.
The Dragonite cards worth grading
For the old Dragonites, the grade matters far more than the card. Here is what ungraded copies sell for on TCGplayer, against recent PSA 10 sales at Fanatics Collect:
| Card | Ungraded, 1 November 2026 | PSA 10 sale |
|---|---|---|

The 1st Edition Fossil holo shows how fast top grades have moved. Its PSA 10 price at Fanatics Collect was $3,600 in October 2023, $5,760 in March 2025, $19,800 to $24,000 from April to August 2026 and $45,600 in September 2026, then $34,000 in a fixed-price sale three days later.
The modern Mega Dragonite ex runs the other way. PSA 10 copies sold for about twice the ungraded price in October 2026, down from $930 to $1,300 in September. Once grading fees are paid, that gap is small.
Most copies won't grade a 10, so don't count on these prices for a card from an old binder. Our grading calculator works out whether grading a card pays.
Condition matters as much as the card. Prices in the table are what ungraded copies have recently sold for on TCGplayer. Scratched, bent or worn copies sell for less.
Watch for fakes. For any card worth more than a few hundred dollars, buy a graded copy or buy from a seller with a clear return policy, and check a graded card's certification number on the grader's website. The disputed Expedition sale above shows that even a slab can be questioned, so compare the label with photos of other copies.
How this list is built
Every week we pull TCGplayer market prices for every English Pokémon set through tcgcsv.com, a public mirror of TCGplayer's data. We keep every card with Dragonite in its name, outside of notes in brackets, including Dark Dragonite, Light Dragonite and Mega Dragonite, and list it at its most valuable printing. Jumbo cards, code cards and sealed products such as tins and blisters are left out, as are cards with no recent market price. Record sales come from auction-house records and published reports, cited below.
Dragonite in New Sets
If you'd rather open packs, these sets have a chase Dragonite. Our set pages compare what each product costs per pack and list each set's most valuable cards:
- Ascended Heroes: the Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare, one of the set's most valuable cards
- Evolving Skies: the Dragonite V alternate art, alongside the Eeveelution and Rayquaza alternate arts
Every modern set has dozens of secret rares, so opening packs until you pull one particular Dragonite usually costs more than buying that card outright. If you do want to open packs, our Pokémon booster box guide compares what every set's box costs per pack.
Conclusion: Which Dragonite to Look For
The record prices belong to PSA 10 copies of a few old cards, led by the Legendary Collection reverse holo Dark Dragonite at $384,000, then $192,000 for the next two copies, and the Legendary Collection holo at $132,000. For everyone else, the valuable Dragonites are the 1999–2002 holos (Fossil, Team Rocket, Light Dragonite and Expedition), the EX-era Dragonite ex and Delta Species cards, the Dragonite V alternate art and the Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare.
If you've found a Dragonite, check the number and set symbol against the table above. For the most valuable Pokémon cards of any kind, see our most expensive Pokémon cards list, updated every week.
